Our classes range from the Parent Toddler Group, Play Group, Nursery, KG1 and KG2.

Parent Toddler Group

The Parent Toddler class at The Harmony Tree has evolved in response to the unique demands and challenges of modern urban living. In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, many parents are working, and families often find themselves in nuclear settings, lacking the extensive support and varied stimulation typically offered by larger, extended families with a multitude of caregivers like grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Recognizing this shift, we’ve tailored our Parent Toddler class to provide a nurturing environment that compensates for these dynamics. As children step into our care, we cultivate an atmosphere brimming with love, blending structure and freedom in play. Through an array of thoughtfully selected materials and toys, we engage the little ones in age-appropriate play, offering the intellectual, linguistic, sensory, and social stimulation crucial for their comprehensive development.

Play Group

The Play Group represents a pivotal milestone in a child’s journey from the warmth of home to the exciting realm of school—an initial step toward readiness for more structured learning. It is, fundamentally, a preparation class where the child takes their very first steps into a world beyond the familiar embrace of family.

At The Harmony Tree, we recognize the profound importance of this transition. The Play Group lays the foundation for future learning, introducing children to foundational concepts through play. Play is the cornerstone of early education—it’s how a child absorbs new ideas, grasps abstract concepts, and begins their journey into the exciting realm of pre-school. Through carefully crafted play experiences, we aim to create a nurturing environment that eases this transition, ensuring each child’s initial steps into the school setting are joyful, engaging, and filled with wonder.

Nursery, K1 and K2

In the educational journey through Nursery, K1, and K2 at The Harmony Tree, we lay the essential groundwork for a smooth transition into formal school life. These early stages are a crucial preparatory phase, where children begin to grasp fundamental mathematical and linguistic concepts while also developing vital social and environmental awareness.

Our approach involves a seamless integration of co-scholastic subjects such as art and craft, dance, music, and drama with scholastic subjects. This fusion ensures a holistic and experiential learning process, enriching their understanding and making education enjoyable. While play remains at the heart of our teaching method, we introduce a more structured approach to learning during these stages.

Early literacy takes center stage, featuring specialized reading programs, phonics, pre-writing, and writing exercises that lay the foundation for future academic endeavors. Through these initiatives, we empower our students to embark on the exciting journey of language acquisition and written expression.

Regardless of the class level, we prioritize the child’s mental, physical, and emotional growth, ensuring that when they eventually transition beyond The Harmony Tree, they are not only prepared for formal school but for life itself. Our aim is to equip each child with the skills, knowledge, and resilience needed to thrive in both educational and life pursuits.

Each month embodies a unique theme, and our calendar ensures that this theme comes alive through a plethora of engaging activities. Whether it’s a day dedicated to creativity, kindness, or the wonders of nature, our themed days spark enthusiasm and curiosity in the hearts of our students.

Experiential learning is a cornerstone of our approach, and our calendar reflects this commitment. Children are taken on delightful field trips that expand their horizons, offering hands-on experiences beyond the classroom. These trips enrich their understanding of the world around them, making learning an exciting adventure.

There’s truly never a dull moment in our preschool calendar. It’s carefully crafted to celebrate the magic of childhood, providing a platform for children to embrace each day with joy, enthusiasm, and a thirst for knowledge. The calendar is a testament to our dedication to creating a dynamic and enriching learning environment that fosters a love for learning from the very start.
